Louis Chenevert’s Accomplishments in his Career

Louis Chenevert is a prominent Canadian businessman who has achieved a lot in his career. He started off as a junior officer and grew through the ranks to hold the highest offices in the organizations he worked. Born in 1958, Chenevert grew in Montreal, Quebec, where during his childhood years he showed much interest in entrepreneurship. This made him work hard in school and he eventually joined the HEC Montreal Business School, an affiliate of the University of Montreal where he did Production Management.

Further, after his studies, Louis Chenevert was employed by Guy Hachey at the General Motors that was based in St. Therese, Quebec. He would then be promoted to be in charge of the company which saw him become Hachey’s executive officer. Furthermore, Chenevert spent 14 years at the General Motors Plant before exiting as he felt he wanted a career change in the aerospace industry. Again, it was another colleague by the name Karl Krapek who was later appointed as the UTC’S president and CEO that advised Chenevert to switch careers in the aerospace industry.

Louis Chenevert joined the Pratt & Whitney PWC in 1993, which was an engine manufacturing company for aircraft. In 1996, Chenevert left the PWC after he was appointed to head the P&W as the executive president in the operations department. The businessman was again elected as the president of the company in 1999 where he was involved in its improvement and profitability. Also, April 2008 saw Chenevert appointed as the president and CEO of the UTC after the retirement of George David.

About Louis Chenevert’s Leadership at the UTC

Louis Chenevert employed the same leadership skills he had used in his previous organizations to govern the UTC. He helped the company survive during a time that many of the organizations were cutting costs and downsizing due to the economic recession. Chenevert realized that his counterparts in the business would compromise on their quality as they were relocating to countries that would have cheaper labor where he took the necessary measures to save UTC. Additionally, he did this by directing the company’s production to the United States and by placing the engineers to a centralized place, hence maintaining the product’s quality.

SELF FLYING DRONES ARE SOON TO COME

Drones have been steadily increasing peoples interest for a while now. Let’s face it, they are fun, fairly easy to use and you can record video of what’s around you. While drones are fun they have had their challenges. New innovations are coming to make that experience even better.

I’ve had a few drones. They are fun yet they do have their troubles. Crashing into trees, your house or even a hard landing. Now imagine new technology that would require little guidance from you and these drones fly on their own!

Two companies in particular have been attacking this issue head on. Skydio and DJI are in the process of getting self flying drones on the market. With multiple camera’s and sensor’s attached these drones will be able to follow you without your constant attention.

If you’ve flown a drone you know that even if it follows you bad things can happen. You have your drone following you as you run or ride your bike when somewhere on your journey a tree branch gets in between you and the drone. Some have better sensors than others but often times your drone, you spent good money on, ends up on the ground leaving you with a broken paper weight.

This new technology will bring a new enjoyment to us drone lovers and added security knowing that the odds are now more in our favor than the tree branches. Check these out and decide for yourselves!Your text to link…

Thoughtful Tweets by Shervin Pishevar

Shervin Pishevar, an investor of tech companies and co-founder of An investing firm, isn’t always the most active person on Twitter. However, that changed in February. He suddenly decided that he wanted to share some thoughts.

50 Tweets

Shervin Pishevar shocked Twitter followers with 50 tweets, all sent out over 24 hours. Some were sent within three or four minutes of each other. The investor gave everyone some warning, though. He identified that he wanted to share thoughts on “financial storms” he saw brewing.

To help everyone keep track of the tweets, he numbered them. He then pinned the first one to the top of his profile to ensure everyone had a chance to see his biggest prediction.

The Topics

Shervin Pishevar didn’t hesitate when it came to speaking up about his thoughts. The first tweet stated that he expected a 6000 point aggregate drop in the coming months. The second tweet backed it up by saying 2018 gains have already been lost.

The tweets weren’t limited to the stock market. Shervin Pishevar talked about how the US is lacking in the speed of execution. He then gave the example of China completing a train station in only nine hours. He blames the US government and their “decrypt and decaying” infrastructure.

Shervin Pishevar also talked about the US monopolies and how they hold too much power. The monopolies should come as no surprise: Facebook, Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Apple.

There was no specific reason as to why Shervin Pishevar decided to tweet all of his thoughts. However, many business blogs are now actively talking about his various theories and predictions. Some have even started to come true, particularly with US stocks taking a plunge. Plenty of people are taking Shervin’s tweets as warnings and moving to protect themselves against further losses in 2018.
